If you are interested in where I go on the odd photo hunt, download a trip below to find the location on Google Earth and photos taken along the way. A fast internet connection will minimise delays during views. After clicking on a trip below Google Earth will automatically open, spin the earth view and zoom in to pinpoint photo locations. A small image will appear with each with a title. Click on this for a larger version. You can save each trip in the left hand 'places' panel for future viewing. Also from here with a you can turn on 'tracks' to see the actual route taken. You can email all this to others who may be interested. Enjoy.
If you have not updated or installed Google Earth visit here to download your free version. It is highly recommended especially if you have a fast internet connection. |
2007 4x4 Trip around the Outback of the Waimate and Mackenzie Districts
Every year my Rotary Club of Timaru North arranges a special weekend outing for its members. Here is a small selection to illustrate the highlights of the trip.
All the photos can be viewed in my event gallery here.
Most 4x4 routes are not recommended for cars and are weather dependant for 4WDs. Permission is usually required to cross private land and charges may apply.
